Welcome to Augmented Media Literacy (“we,” “our,” or “us”). We operate from both Finland and the United States. By accessing our website, browser extension, and algorithmic analysis tools (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

1. Use of the Services

Augmented Media Literacy provides algorithmic analysis of journalism and media to assist professionals and readers in identifying consensus, emotional language, and source bias. You agree not to scrape, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract our proprietary algorithms or datasets.

2. Subscriptions, Auto-Renewal, and Merchant of Record

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller, Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries related to billing and handles returns.

Automatic Renewal (US & Global Compliance): By selecting a subscription plan, you authorize Paddle.com to charge your provided payment method for recurring Subscription Charges (monthly or annually) on an ongoing basis until you cancel. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle. You may cancel at any time through your account settings prior to the renewal date to avoid future charges.

3. Disclaimer of Warranties

The information provided by our algorithmic analysis is probabilistic and based on natural language processing. We do not guarantee the absolute factual accuracy or absolute objectivity of any news article. The Services are provided “AS IS” without warranties of any kind.

4. Governing Law

For users residing in the European Economic Area (EEA), these Terms shall be governed by the laws of Finland, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. For users residing in the United States or elsewhere, these terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States. You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of the courts located within these respective territories.
